These new Lady McElroy Linen Ginghams are truly in a class of their own, primarily due to the premium stonewashing process they undergo. Unlike standard linens that can sometimes feel a bit stiff or scratchy, these fabrics are laundered with abrasive stones (like pumice) to physically break down the cellular fibres of the Linen.

This softening results in a "lived-in" feel right from the first touch, creating a supple drape and a distinctive slightly weathered texture. While this extra step adds to the production time and cost, it ensures you are working with a luxury cloth that offers immediate comfort and a sophisticated, matt-finish that only gets better with wear and further washing.
